Launch Party, New Solid Mini Petals & Petal for Pooch

Petal Pusher's launch party took place this Sunday and the day started off just gorgeous.  Bright blue sky, crisp weather and snow dusted on the McDowell Mountains.  Yes, snow in Scottsdale!

It was such a thrill to hear positive feedback, ideas for new products and see all the Petals find happy homes with these beautiful women!

Thirty One was also featured at the event by Emily D'Ambrosio.  These are durable bags that come in an assortment of happy colors and patterns.

Lots of new solid Mini Petals have been added to the Shop.  Navy, cream, white, yellow, pink and grey.  These are fantastic to wear solo or double up with a larger patterned Petal.  Also lovely for spring and summer weddings - reusable boutonnieres, flower girl hair accessories or on bridesmaids sash or hair.

New updates under Where Petals Have Landed page too.  This gorgeous gal took home a Petal that looks equally darling on her pooch!  How clever to add it to the dog collar.  Love the creativity each individual uses when wearing their Petals.

Bonne Maman

I have been using Bonne Maman Preserves for years.  It's a daily stand-by in the morning on my whole wheat buttered toast or for the kids' PB&J.  It is the closest thing to homemade preserves I can find on the average grocery store shelf.

Despite my green tendencies and having it front and center in our fridge for years, it finally dawned on me (while cleaning it out to recycle) that I should repurpose the jar for my Petal-making supplies.  Definitely an aha moment...or maybe more of a duh! moment.

Just look at all the different uses for these sweet little jam jars...

Right now I'm using mine for holding glue sticks...

As I eat more jam gather more, the possibilities are endless.  Perfect for holding Petal Pusher embellishments or keeping my favorite treat (dark chocolate-covered cranberries) nearby.

What would you use a Bonne Maman jar for?

Let's Get a Move On

We are moving!!
While I am thrilled about our new home's floor plan, upgrades and location to the park...
I am most excited about having my own Petal Pusher nook and creative space.  I am an organizational freak, so having a work station with plenty of storage and space is

My vision for the new space consists of storage shelving with lots of baskets, jars and bins of colorful material and embellishments on display.

Fabrics neatly folded in vintage locker baskets...
Spools of ribbon snuggled together on wall rods...

Not a bad spot for my new sewing machine either...

This will also be an area where I can host Petal Pusher parties each season to show off the new fabric selections and styles.  Definitely need a cute mirror for trying on the Petals and a
cozy loveseat so friends can mingle.

Love Me, Love Me Not

I've been a busy little bee these days finishing up dozens and dozens of Petals for Love Me Not Clothing.  My creative juices have been in overdrive hand-crafting each individual Petal and making sure they are formed to perfection before shipping them off to their happy homes.
Amy from Love Me Not chose the most darling colors and patterns for
Bright raspberries, lime greens and punchy plum hues that really pop.
Loads of ruffles and flouncy frocks to twirl about in.

How cute are the Mini Petals doubled up with this outfit!?

I love finding knot tops for my *almost* two year old daughter because they can be worn as a dress and then later as a top.  The knots make the whole piece adjustable as she grows.
This Plum Candy Knot Top is just darling!

Where Petals Have Landed

So far Petals have landed in Washington, Texas, Wisconsin, Colorado and Arizona.

I love hearing how each person plans to wear their Petals or who they intend to give them to as a gift.  One sweet Grandma just ordered a Mommy & Me Set and additional matching Mini Petal for her daughter and two granddaughters.  A heartfelt surprise for the recipients!

Send us a photo of your Petals in action and we'll post it to the blog!

Valentine Wishes and Give Away Winner Announced

And the winner of the Mommy & Me Set in Mackinac Island is...

Meredith, congrats and please email me your address and I will get your shipment on its way.

The Lemonista always has such clever, sweet holiday ideas and unique ways to get kids to eat their food.  In fact, for us, Valetine's Day might have well been called Lemonista's Day.  We used her suggestions for breakfast, treat and dinner!

I just had to try her Oreo cookie lollipops for my son's preschool Valentines.  They were surprisngly easy to make and looked so cute (even with my last minute label and tiny sprinkles - I prefer the larger ones The Lemonista uses).  Instead of Oreos I used the Jo Jo's from Trader Joe's.  Love the vanilla bean creme filling.

I'm already trying to think of an occasion to make these cute pops again.
Hmmm...President's Day?  Any excuse for cookies I say!

I was so honored when Amy from Loves Me Not Clothing contacted me
